Face fits environment - difficult to climb the ladder unless you kiss some serious butt. Some management are vile bullies - unfortunately these managers seem to be the ones that have become an institution and will never leave.

Clique-y, very horrible team members During my year at Asda, I had an issue with the majority of people in my team all of whom disliked me a lot, and went out of their way to show that to me - either by going for breaks together and leaving me on the shop floor, by constantly gossiping about me behind my back or in front of my face on the shop floor, by deliberately ostracising me at every given opportunity, and by complaining about me to the section leaders despite the fact that I was doing nothing wrong. They also would make fun of a trauma I endured two weeks into the job, and they said I used it as an excuse to rationalise anything I did at work (I have diagnosed PTSD as a result of this trauma). Despite complaining within the store around 3 or 4 times to section leaders and management, nothing was ever done about it.
