Pros

AIG is obviously a well recognized company, that stands behind you through the learning process of your work abilities. When the day is complete, you live your own life. You do not have to take the worries of the office with you. I worked in the Workers Compensation Division, and I feel that my job was well respected with good benefits and incentives for me to complete my work efficiently and accurately.

Cons

I do feel that there are probably far too many senior management positions, within the company. In addition, AIG was rated one of the worst places in 2008 to work for GLBT people. However, that is when I was employed. I am happy to report that in the new 2009 rankings, they have now dramatically improved and it is a great place for those GLBT persons such as myself.

Pros

AIG supports what makes there employees and clients happy. My Internship was great for me and made me realized how I can be professional and still have a close relationship with my managers. Here are some marketing concepts you will gain while working at AIG. To provide an overview of the theories, concepts, strategic thinking, and processes involved in international marketing. This course fosters the development of the analytical skills necessary for evaluating international-marketing environments and developing appropriate strategies for international corporate growth. Meets the International Area requirement for the Business Administration core (all majors), with faculty advisor permission. BABA/BSBA General Business major specified elective.

Cons

The compensation can be better. I also feel like the company could be more organized and AIG needs to be more firm on who they bring into the company. thats it!

Pros

To get experience on a resume for new college graduate. Very high turnover, so getting a job is no problem out of college and even non college grads.

Cons

Incompetent team leaders and mid-level management. Managers turn employees against each other in attempts to get better production. Very unhappy people working within AIG. Human resources control things that traditional HR departments do not control. Horrible culture.
