Pros

Diverse, Free Meals & Snacks, Updated Technology, Nice Building

Cons

Poor Training, I accepted this position entry level with no experience in payroll, hr, or tax & banking. Training was cut from 8 weeks into 2 weeks. This information was not communicated with my specific new hire group until after we started. The training was not hands on 8 hrs sitting in front of a computer with at least 30 other new hires from different states via WebEx. The training is not designed to accommodate different learning styles. We were assigned clients before we even completed training. We were advised by the Vice President the reasoning for our short training was due to year end “busy season” and to sum it up the company had an overwhelming number of new clients looking to begin processing with ADP at the beginning of a new quarter. Depending on who your manager is they may or may not have the proper training to provide you with the proper guidance when you are in need of help instead you are asked to rely on your peers or other veteran employees who have their own clients and are already overworked. For the strenuous workload the pay is not enough. The company is constantly handing out snacks and free food to make it seem as if they care because they know we are being overworked. There is a huge disconnect between the sales department and the implementation department therefore you are constantly being questioned/ hassled by the sales department with questions because their commission weighs heavily on the success of the implementation project. Constant emails, and meetings. No work/life balance. You are constantly being told to “fake it till you make it”. During my now 2 months of employment I have seen 3 employees resign all due to stress . High turnover. Short lunch breaks (30 mins). Terrible parking structure. There is a lot of favoritism.

Pros

ADP has a WIDE range of opportunities: professional advancement, free college courses that you take and then ADP pays YOU once you pass, tuition reimbursement, financial assistance to ADP families in need, hybrid work schedule, yearly bonuses, free online classes on everything from workouts to classes held by certified professionals on childcare...the list goes on and on. Absolutely fantastic.

Cons

I have been here since July and I have never been part of a company that offers so much to their employees. I am here for the long-haul.

Pros

Incentives and money are great Many fun people to work with

Cons

Turnover in the sales team is incredibly high. The pay is good, so before working here, ask yourself why salespeople keep leaving. Although salespeople are assigned territories, many different sales teams call into the same accounts, and it's a constant battle to fight and keep your name on accounts. I've never seen anything like this before. There is so much animosity between the sales teams because of the way the territories are set up that it causes distractions and a general sense of paranoia. They constantly roll out new tools without testing them and demand we use them, then backpedal after we all put hours of time in and show that the software is broken For a tech company, the archaic systems we use would be laughable if it wasn't so painful. Trying to find out details about a customer is a long, convoluted process, and there are so many legacy systems floating around with no support that it's impossible to help customers Customer service is shockingly bad, as is implementation. You'll constantly be fighting negatives because of continual failed service and implementation teams that don't do their jobs, and there is no accountability on their side. You spend more time managing angry customers than selling Very little sales support. Lots of tools and general, vague pdf documents, but no real support when we need assistance from various departments. Unless you're physically in head office, most internal emails go into a black hole, and you'll spend far too much time following up in a futile attempt to get other departments to do their jobs
