Awful teamwork

Pros

No micromanagement across the team

Cons

The asynchronous culture is synonymous with "don't ask questions", which is very frustrating as a new person. All info lives in Trello, so unless you have good understanding of the tool, you will struggle immensely. Additionally, a lot of info in Trello is outdated or borderline impossible to find. Since questions are forbidden, you'll likely spend hours searching for information. Rather than changing the tool (which few like) they are more keen to fire people or blame them for not being asynchronous learners. Internal email is also a no go, so don't expect to use basic tools for communication Lack of team culture. Everyone is out for themselves and at no point did I feel truly welcomed from anyone. No transparency - they are in massive firing stage with no warning so that has obliterated team morale

Hey there. Thanks for your review. I hope I'm not reading this wrong but I suspect your onboarding was a disappointment to you. Our Convexity framework isn't for everyone and relies on a set of self-serve practices that make it possible for individuals to achieve high performance autonomously. People that are not comfortable working asynchronously or who are used to being managed closely on a day-to-day basis will not thrive at 360Learning. Others love it. We generally do a good job making it clear at the recruitment stage and if not the onboarding is here to continue the process. We'll take your valuable feedback to our team and discuss it internally. However, I can guarantee that 1. questions are welcome during onboarding, 2. we are full-speed hiring at the moment and 3. we are gradually shifting away from Trello as you have a point there 😅. Please feel free to reach out for a chat if you'd like.

Pros

- well-defined and robust culture (Convexity) contributes to hiring people who are aligned with it and believe in the company's mission - A-class people on all teams, but especially in Engineering (probably because of the algorithmic coding test) - transparency about everybody levels and salaries, career paths, communication inside and outside teams - the real remote-first company with people distributed all over the world, but there are offices or a coworking budget for those who need them, of course - rapid product-led growth with a huge check invested by SoftBank and first acquisitions

Cons

- salaries are different depending on the region you are working from - engineering team lacks a balance in the ratio of mobile devs to web devs, hence mobile devs sometimes have more tasks than possible to accomplish

Pros

Company culture doesn’t mean you are a slave to the job. 360Learning has developed a culture of hard workers that they trust. You work on your own time and schedule for a true work life balance.

Cons

There are some growing pains as any startup would have.
