I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Walgreens (Grayslake, IL) in Feb 2018
Interview
The manager who interviewed me offered me the job over the phone a week after the interview. I accepted and she said she'd email me drug testing info within the week. No email, so I called back as directed. Took another week to get a hold of her. She then said I'd been accidentally deleted from their system and that I'd need to reapply to get back into the system so they could move forward. I reapplied same day. The following morning I had an email -- it was a canned rejection letter. She had to have known during that last phone call that she wasn't going to hire me, yet she made me reapply for no reason, and strung me along for 3 weeks previous to that. Shoddy way to treat people!
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Walgreens (Orlando, FL) in Feb 2017
Interview
As soon as I took the aptitude test on the application I was offered an interview. Very brief interview, to the point and with both managers present. The manager was approachable and specific in his questions. He congratulated me on passing the second part of the application with the highest marks. He was also interested in my previous professional experiences and how I would apply that knowledge in a new setting.
I got called within a week from applying online. Application got lost twice. Had to reapply. Went into the store for the online assessment. Received a call for an interview. After the interview I scheduled a drug test. Passed the drug test. Got called the next day to train.
