Wacker interview questions

I received an email to schedule an interview within a few weeks of applying for the job. It was a phone interview with the departmental technical manager and one other employee that I would be working with directly. Very relaxed interview. Typical questions!

After phone interviews I was invited to travel to the Adrian, MI site. I met with Site Manager, Dept. Director, and HR. We met in a small meeting room. It became apparent they were juggling interviews to be concluded with a plant tour. Seemed like a good interview process with technical questions being asked, nothing extraordinary, but no deep dive into specifics one would encounter in this role at that site. We talked for about 40 minutes, HR asked if I had any questions. I did and asked about three questions then was informed we were wrapping things up and it was time for the plant tour. Good, right? Wrong. I was passed off to a fourth person who basically escorted me circuitously through part of the facility to the parking lot. I was not going to see the processes that define this site or that the Professional role I was applying for would interact with regularly. You just never know the best way to prepare - go all in and research the heck out of a place, or simply focus on your core strengths / skills? Honestly, they wasted their money in airfare, car rental, lodging when all the questions asked could have been asked via phone. I will say I answered some on-line screening questions that could have presented a wrong impression. I wanted to address that in the interview, but did not get the chance.
