I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Vodafone (Auckland, ) in Aug 2016
Interview
A HR rep confirmed that I had been invited for an interview, after that followed 2 interviews, a 1:1 and another that was a group.
The 1:1 was fit focused and with a senior manager, understanding Vodafone's values and how you fit into them is essential. Examples of when/how you demonstrated these were often asked for
The group interview was with the same senior manager and the direct manager, this focused on the roles skills and my competencies, again having examples ready was necessary
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe how you demonstrate Vodafone's values:
Customer obsessed, Innovation hungry, One company local roots,
I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Vodafone (Newbury, England) in Jul 2018
Interview
I applied online to the role of a service/product manager with Vodafone UK.
Started with an initial phone call with the recruiter - smooth and frank. Second to come was a phone interview with the hiring manager. It took about two weeks to coordinate, then he called a day earlier. I apologised, and we agreed to speak on the day after, as initially planned. The interview itself was OK, general questions around experience.
Then another two weeks to get an answer that he is interested in a face to face meeting, which will be coordinated by the scheduling team. After a couple of days - another follow up as no one contacted me, then they finally managed to find a one hour slot for us, however not in the London office as agreed, but in the Newbury HQ (so the candidate will do the travel...).
After 2.5 hours ride, I finally got there.
The interview was about a 15 mins presentation which I had to prepare in advance, and then again general questions. Neither, the manager nor their colleague are coming from product management (can be easily seen on the site which is dated to probably 12 years back).
Interview result was negative, for being "too professional" and not sharing enough about myself (whatever that means!).
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We're sorry to hear you didn't have a positive experience with us, we take all feedback on board. We wish you the best of luck with your future career!
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Vodafone (Sídney) in Aug 2016
Interview
Good conversation about the role, working environment and team values. my past experiences that supported my application to the role. Reasonable negotiation around Salary expectations and commencement date.
