I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Verisk
Interview
Recruiter phone screen followed by a group interview. The process described was several rounds long and included a presentation. The group interview was not an interview; it was an interrogation. A good interview is an exchange of information but unfortunately, I was not provided time to ask questions or get a better understanding of the role or the culture of the company. Additionally, the budgeted salary was drastically low for the industry and the area. Seemed like a lot of stress for 5-6 rounds of interviews, an unpaid homework assignment, and a comically low salary in one of the most expensive metros in the US.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Be prepared for a pop quiz on their products and their functionality, despite limited information on their website. Heavy emphasis on trying to catch candidates lying about their experience (I wasn’t) and not discovering their potential to do the role or their fit within the culture of the company.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Verisk (Boston, MA) in Feb 2021
Interview
started with a call, then video call with five team members, then had to write an essay on why I want to work for that company. It took roughly two to three months for the whole process.
