I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at UL Solutions (Northbrook, IL) in Jan 2018
Interview
Disorganized Talent Acquisition representative; not a strong first impression of the company. The security person who checked me in was on a personal call on a bluetooth and didn't address me personally. In-person interview went well, however, the interviewer seemed overwhelmed.

How did you earn the trust of leaders if they were skeptical about something you proposed?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at UL Solutions
Interview
A phone screening, then two interviews. One by phone and another in person. For an entry level position, they couldn't ask too much about applicable experience. They are more concerned with how you will fit in with their mission and uphold the name of the company. They also want to see that you have the desire to learn and stick around for a while. Everyone who interviewed me was incredibly nice and definitely made the interviews seem more like a conversation than a normal interrogation interview. I actually had a great time during my in person interview, we all had some laughs.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Standard interview questions for the 1st interview. Why did you study mechanical engineering? Why do you want this job? etc. Behavioral questions for the in person interview using the STARK method. Same as STAR (situation, task, action, results), but with the added element of Knowledge (what you learned).
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at UL Solutions in Jul 2014
Interview
I had two phone interviews and was hired on after. My position is a remote position. Thus, I met with my manager after I was hired on. Before I met my manager, the human resource leader explained the company's benefit package, my salary, and job expectations.
