I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at TransUnion (Atlanta, GA) in Jun 2011
Interview
Standard process. Meet with HR to get an overall review of the process and introductions to your interviewers. Then meet with hiring manager, then with select staff, then with the hiring manager's peers and boss. Prior to the interview ending, met one last time with the hiring manager to review how I thought the interview went and whether I had any further questions before leaving. Also informed me about what the next steps were and when to expect an answer back on whether or not they would be proceeding with an offer
I applied through other source. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at TransUnion (Chicago, IL) in Jan 2015
Interview
Interview took a while. There was a hiring freeze, then an unfreeze. Then i had a phone interview Then an in person interview with HR and three other people. These people all asked me standard interview questions. When they were done asking me the standard interview questions I went home. A short while later a received a call with an offer. The price went back and forth a couple of times and I had accepted what they were offering.
Very thorough. Asked in depth questions and asked to draw on white board to explain everything in detail. Must have knowledge of network fundamentals to pass the interview. Also must be able to defend what you put on the resume. Enjoyed it very much as the process was interactive. Advise is to think out loud when you are trying to figure out the answer to a question
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Basic to complex networking questions focussed on layer 1 to 3.
