I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at TikTok in Jun 2021
Interview
Pretty strange. Hiring manager didn't really look like they were interested in being on the call. Ran a few minutes over and didn't have time to ask any questions.
JD was vague and not really helpful. Recruiter wasn't able to articulate the jobs or what they were looking for. Spent a ton of time prepping and not really sure why. Got an automated rejection email instead of an email from the recruiter.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok (Mountain View, CA) in May 2021
Interview
Interview process is quite short:
- a manager
- a peer in given job function asking merit question
- an analytical interview
- a Xfn partner
Overall quite nice but due to complexities with China and their own workplace systems one shall check the details in links beforehand.
