I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Home Depot in Jul 2010
Interview
I was called to interview for the position not too long after I applied online. To my surprise the lady who interviewed knew I was a bit despred, but at the same I do have three years of experience in construction. Though this didn't motivate her to pay anymore than the 9.25 I accepted. She told me to wait for a phone call and also asked about my experience. I really want the job so I ask if I could speak with the supervisor of the dept. She agreed which made me happy. I spoke with him that same night for almost an hour with high hopes went home. I thought, "if anything I can at least have a better chance next time this store has a position open." Again, im knowing that my three years of experience are worth something right? Well, about a week later I got called to take a drug test and sign for the background check. I did my 20 hours training and will be starting next week, part time. Great isn't ?
im looking forward for the experience with H.D. I can only imagine learning about lumber and foundation building for small home or as addons for houses. I stumbled upon this website trying to get information on how to get a pay raise with the company. I have a son and a wife to take care so 9.25 with 3 years of experience isn't worth it and i have to have a second job as a security guard so it pretty much sucks. But only time will tell!

Interview
I was interview for a cashier positon by an store manager. The interview was pretty straight forward, common sense stuff. Many of the questions were about cumstomer related difficulties complaints and how I would respond to questions. The iterviewer was friendly and made me feel comfortable. I chose to decline to offer after I was offered another postion with higher pay
