I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at TUI Group (Luton, East of England, England) in Feb 2018
Interview
I applied online on TUI's website. Kinda lengthy application form. The next day my linkedin was viewed by one of their team and I got an email inviting me to the next phase which was 3 online assessments.
I passed this stage and was asked to complete a video interview. (4 questions which you record the answers to using their online system) About a week and a half later I was invited to an assessment day which was the final stage of the process.
8am-4pm at their office in Luton. 6 applicants and 5 sessions to complete.
1st one we got paired off and had to follow instructions to make a arduino robot and place pseudo code in the correct order
2nd one we got put into teams of 3 to design an app and present it to a board of people
3rd one was paired off again (different people) to speak about how which areas of the company you would invest money in
4th one was 2 on 1 interview (asked for lots of examples, examples, examples)
5th one was 20 minute tech chat with 1 member of the IT team. I had to come up with a use case which used APIs, Big Data and Cloud Computing.
They didn't offer me the job. They said that I was not enthusiastic enough at the 2 on 1 interview. So my advice would be to show passion and enthusiasm as much as possible.
