3 stages of application: Recruitment calls you first to informally discuss your interest to the role. Then a manuscript assessment is forwarded to you to do within a week - 3 manuscripts where you have to decide to accept/reject and strengths/weaknesses. They schedule an interview with you - most of the interview was a timed assessment similar to the take home assessment. Make sure to read their website and just prepare for some basic editor questions that's been mentioned here before. I prepared for competency questions but never really got asked about that.
