I was originally really excited at the possibility of working at SAGE because I've heard great things about the company. However, after an almost 3 month total interview process with them dragging it out with a huge lack of communication, I now feel they are very unprofessional and probably wouldn't take the job if offered. I originally applied for the Editorial Assistant position and went through basically all of the interview process which included a 2.5 hour interview with 5 different people. I felt really good afterward, but then a few weeks later after an email that was never replied to, I had to text my friend who was an intern in the HR department to ask the woman directly what was going on. I then got the generic "oh you're still being considered" reply, but then was told that they wanted to set me up for a video interview for an entirely different position. I knew nothing about it and had to repeatedly prod for more information. Then, I did the interview and completed an assignment for that job, feeling even better about it than I did the first position. 2 weeks later, nothing. I emailed, and again got the generic "we're still going through the process" reply. At this point it had been about 2.5 months. I don't know if that was their way of "letting me down easy" or if they really do take forever with the hiring process. Still, it's rude to drag things out with such poor communication and cryptic answers, and I'm over it.
