I was asked many questions, some of which did not really make sense. I felt like everyone was asking from the same question deck. The people were very friendly and the surroundings were nice.

Question 1
Give an example a time that you failed and how did you handle it?
I applied online. I interviewed at SC Johnson in Dec 2019
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter after resume screening.
The first interview is aimed at understanding how do you match the requested profile and your motivations to change your job
First call with talent recruiter highlighted a few culture issues with SCJ. CEO is working 100% to return people to office ASAP, as if learnings from covid NEVER happened. Like, let’s go back to 2019 and require everyone to be in office 9-5 M-F. Because that’s where I do my best work. I’m ok to be in office to collaborate and meet as needed. But, best work is done whenever, wherever, and however a person deems fit. Companies that empower their people to work like this will succeed and grow. Those that go back to 2019 like we learned NOTHING this past year will fail. They will lose talent and will not be able to recruit top talent.

Question 1
Standard...relocation and being in office five days/week was the one I could not budge on.
Thank you for interviewing with SCJ and taking the time to share your experience. It’s true that we believe SCJ is stronger as a team when we can work together in-person. We have worked hard to prepare our spaces for safe returns, so SCJ people can work together to do more for the benefit of our consumers.
