Unfortunately, my interview experience with Ralph Lauren’s recruiting team left a lot to be desired. The recruiter arrived late, seemed unprepared, and rushed through the conversation. I was surprised to learn that the interviewer had just started at the company, wasn’t familiar with my resume, and had not reviewed my background beforehand.
When salary was brought up, the recruiter quoted a figure approximately $30,000 lower than what was publicly listed on the LinkedIn job posting. This inconsistency created confusion and concern around transparency. Despite following up multiple times after the interview, I received no response or updates, which left me feeling dismissed and undervalued as a candidate.
This experience does not align with the professionalism I expected from a global brand like Ralph Lauren, especially for a leadership role within their People function. I hope the company re-evaluates how they train and support their recruiters in order to deliver a respectful, fair, and efficient hiring process.
