I got connected with the consultant on linked in they shared the openings and asked for resume, as i was located in Mumbai the opening was in Tokyo so everything was on skype.

Interview questions [1]
Question 1
- Basic questions on multi-threading, how to implement it, how to kill a thread, use of volatile keyword.
- methods in object class, details on usage of all and how to over ride equals & hash code.
- types of Algorithms and their performance
- Design patterns types and how you have used in past.
- few question on UNIX like how to identify which application is running on a specific port, how to identify which is writing to a file.

Interview
Well, I was contacted by a recruiter of Rakuten over an email with the opportunity details. I had responded with my profile. Upon shortlisting the profile they have sent two links to my email, one for Video interview and other for the coding test on Codility platform.
I have taken both the tests.
The first one video interview have 5 questions , which are just HR centric, as mentioned below:
1. What's your name and why are you a good fit for this position?
2. If you have experience, describe it and your technical skillset?
3. How can you contribute to company's growth?
4. What are your strengths and how can you leverage it for peak performance?
5. Have you changed your job and why are you looking for change now?
The second one was a Codility test, you can choose any language (C#, PHP, JAVA, Javscript, Python), I was give a question to check Bitwise XOR of all the numbers between two integers
(like 5 and 8 are inputs the o/p should be 5 BitwiseXor 6 BitwiseXor 7 BitwiseXor 8). I could not complete the test as I was working slowly and did not observe the time. Not sure..but mostly, I will not be through this initial interview process.. however we are human, lives with a small blink of hope even in worst case..so just waiting for the feedback...Cheers !! :-)

Passed online coding test and video recording. Waiting for Skype interview. Seems like at-least 2-3 rounds of Skype interview will happen depends upon performance in the previous round.
Online coding test interface is Codility and applicant can choose any language in which they are comfortable.
