The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at RTX in Jun 2009
Interview
I submitted my resume to their online job posting forum/database. I received a interview about three weeks later, I went in for the interview. Not much of a technical interview. They asked about previous experience and there was hardly any technical content involved. It was mainly a chance to demonstrate if you have the qualities to work with the people there. Usually, the person who requested the posting doesn't show up and someone else sat in. Not ideal, but should at least see the person before hiring him/her. I followed up a week later and the recruiter was kind enough to inform that I was a good fit. The rest was history.

The process took 2 days. I interviewed at RTX in Nov 2010
Interview
I was flown out to the facility as part of a hiring event for college hires. The first night consisted of a dinner and "meet and greet" with the hiring managers. The second day consisted of one on one interviews with various managers. The managers were very friendly and the questions centered around my resume as well as a few behavioral questions.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at RTX in Feb 2010
Interview
Submitted my resume online on their site. Applied online for an opening that I heard about from a recruiter. Got a call back for an interview at the site. I was taken on a tour of the site, taken into a conference room for a one on one interview, then a second employee interviewed me as well. I received a call back saying that I was a finalist and that I would have a final phone interview with another manager to determine whether I got the job. I was told I was the best candidate and that he would forward his positive notes to the recruiter at HR. The recruiter later called me with an offer that was valid upon successful completion of a full screening including background check, drug test, and verification of citizenship and eligibility to work in the US.
