I interviewed at TravelPerk in May 2023. I was asked general questions about React, other technical questions, cultural or behavioral questions and questions about previous experiences. I'm surprised about the feedback that I received from the interviewers which makes me believe they were not actually paying attention to what I was sharing. - Because I said I was a contractor (but for the last few years, not my entire career) they assumed I was the type of person that just executes without asking questions when I actually specified and highlighted many instances where I did quite the opposite and when I mentioned I was looking for a company that actually allows me to keep doing it so. Also, they assumed my exclusive experience was as a contractor. Weird. Because I asked only technical questions about their product, they assumed I was not interested in the product, this is because I'm already familiar with the product since many relatives are using it or I know people working for their competitors. No hard feelings but I get the impression they are not filtering their candidates correctly because of this since most aspects of the feedback are related to misassumptions
