The impression I got from the interview is that this seems like a startup focused on socializing - I feel I was not a culture fit for this reason. Pay transparency was also an issue, making it difficult to assess the fairness of compensation for the role I applied for. During the interview, they emphasised the need to be in the office 3 times a week- this lack of flexibility may not suit everyone. The recruitment team were quite efficient and provided prompt feedback at every stage of the process. However, I found that the interviewers lacked warmth and it was difficult to feel at ease during the interview. As the company continues to grow and develop, it would be beneficial for them to focus on their D&I strategy by implementing pay transparency measures. Look for culture adds not culture fits, also consider more diversity in your interview panels- I did not come across a single person of colour during my recruiting experience at TravelPerk.
