Online application, email from recruiter 2-3 months after initial application, screening phone call with recruiter, interview with 2 editors, 2 manuscript reviews and marketing analysis, and final interview with head editor. Everyone I spoke to at the company was polite, professional, and kind.

Pre-recorded online interview for the first stage, felt very impersonal and pointless - very standard questions were asked. They included ‘bloopers’ to show that not even the current company employees were comfortable with the online interview process, but it felt disingenuous and forced. It did not give you any idea about the company culture.
