I was surprised there was such a sense of chaos and casual indifference interviewing for a position in a company as reputable as Novartis. This was a senior-level position, in a hot area of expertise where the pool of talent is much less than the demand. The position has also been open for a long time (ironically, I actually know someone who turned the position down awhile ago). Is Novartis looking for unicorns and wasting time stalking people’s LinkedIn pages?
Culture starts right at the interview process.

The conversation was stilted; hiring manager asked very few questions because they were unprepared for the interview.
