Microsoft Software Engineer 2 interview questions

Interview and problem solving with four individuals, problems ranged from basic to intermediate in difficulty. Ample time was given to solve problems about one hour per problem. Comped lunch and about eight hours total spent interviewing.

SUPER NEGATIVE experience.. don't know how Microsoft could fall down so low. I was interviewing for Software Engineer 2 for which I applied before joining another company as a Senior Software Engineer. Before interview process I have told recruiter my compensation package expectations for this moment. He said it is okay. In a week after last interview round I received the offer which was much lower that I expected. I'd started to bargain and I have mentioned in the mail to recruiter, that according to internet resources compensation package which he provided is more corresponding to Software Engineer 1 than 2. He mentioned that "a lot of info online is not that accurate as it should be" (c). Okay... , I asked straightforwardly: "was I suggested L61 or L62 position?" He answered: "Unfortunately, I am not authorized to talk about the Levels when discussing comp with candidates."(c). OKAY.. We scheduled 2nd call to talk about details (we were discussing offer about a week by mail) AND EVEN BY PHONE he was saying in the beginning: We usually just say Software Engineer in offer (c). After 5 MIN of questioning I found out that I was suggested SOFTWARE ENGINEER 1 (L60) position not Software Engineer 2.. AND IT IS FINE BY ME, BUT WHY YOU WERE HIDING IT FOR WHOLE WEEK ????? IT REALLY LOOKED AS A CHEATING... He even were telling that I will find out my grade only after joining.... WHAT ??? SERIOUSLY ?? AM I A SLAVE ??? .. WOW.. MICROSOFT...HOW COULD YOU... I am not a kid and I am fine to be rejected, and also I am fine to be suggested low offer than I am expecting BUT IT IS CHEATING TO INTENTIONALLY HIDE THE POSITION ..
