I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Microsoft
Interview
I was told it's a general interview event where I can use any language I prefer. It ends up being 4 interviewers from Azure Files, all prejudiced against code that's not C++. The last interview was especially awful, I was told it'll be a systems design round. Instead, I was thrown a modulo math trick coding question with less than 20 mins to solve. The last interviewer was rude during behavioral questions and is unprofessional/unfriendly. Did not leave me with a good impression with that team or Microsoft.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Microsoft (Belgrade) in Jul 2024
Interview
The process went like this: first, there was an HR interview—a very pleasant conversation that introduced the company and the overall process. Next, there was a test consisting of three tasks: one easy, one difficult, and one of medium difficulty. After the tests, a loop interview followed, comprising four consecutive interviews. The first was behavioural, assessing how you handle given situations. The second was an algorithmic task, which was very easy. The third was system design, where, in the end, I didn’t understand what was expected of me, and the fourth was OOP design. Overall, all the interviewers were very pleasant.

Question 1
In the system design part, there was a question about how you would design a system for sending and receiving emails. I don't really remember the other details
