Interview
I had applied online in July and had to do an online questionnaire which then determined if you would go on to an interview or not. I passed this in the same day and booked my interview for 2 days after, it was an interview for an hour and I had to do a role play with the interviewer while the other wrote, I was given information on a fictional store and had to sell to and help out a customer, it was a bit hard but i got through it all though I kept on repeating my self (My downfall) after that the interviewers left the room and then another interviewer probably a manger cam in and then asked me some question, why do you want to work for M&S etc. it went really well and she was very surprised by my answers, they then left the room again and I was in there for a good 10 minutes, they later came in and said I wasn't successful. I was just annoyed that I spent an hour of my life in a really hot room and didn't end up getting the job
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Marks & Spencer (Stevenage, England) in Aug 2014
Interview
Application was very easy, took around 40 - 60 minutes, consisted of two assessments once completed I was then told I had been successful and asked to pick an interview slot.
The interview consisted of a role play activity where I was left in a room for five minutes with some sheets containing products, offers and delivery options. Another member of staff then entered the room as the customer to be served by me (using the information giving).
I was then left in the room for around five minutes until a manager entered the room and asked me some common interview questions, and then again I was left in the room.
Shortly after the questions a member of staff came back into the room and informed me I had been successful, and I was needed to attended induction the following week.
