I applied the position online and received an email the next day to schedule an interview. It was a 1:1 interview. At the beginning, I was asked the typical questions such as 'Have you been to Macy's?', 'Why do you want to work at Macy's?'. Since this position involves with wall painting and x'mas decor installation, I was asked to tell about my experience of such.

Interview
I originally applied for a seasonal sales associate position. When I came for the interview, however, the office manager asked if I would be interested in instead interviewing for a seasonal employee recruiting position in human resources. I said yes. After interviewing for this position with 1 other individual that day and another human resource worker a few days later, I was told I would probably be better as a seasonal sales associate in fashion jewelry. I was offered an immediate interview with the manager of the Jewelry Department. When this interview ended, the office manager offered me a job - Seasonal On - Call Sales Associate. She offered me time to consider the position, so I went home to do so. I called the next day and the day after to follow up and ask some final questions about the nature of the position, but only left the office manager a voice mail each time as I was unable to reach her in person. The next day I wrote an email thanking her for the offer again and outlining these questions I have about the position. It has been over half a week and I have not heard back.

Interview
I only had one interview and it was fairly easy and quick which was surprising for a big company. I was called for an interview, I wasn't really given a choice when to come in. There were two other girls when I got there but it was one on one. When it was my turn. I was just asked some basic questions and few I wasn't expecting so I had to come up with something fairly quick. Then the interviewer which became my supervisor asked me a random question about who I thought would win american idol. Okay? Kind of strange but alrighty. It only took about 10-15 minutes and then she said she would give me a call within the next few days. I got a call saying I got the job and I had to come in to fill out papers and fill out information on a computer which actually took a while. Then I had to come in again with the two other girls that got hired for orientation which was very long and some what confusing. We only got one day of training too and then we were on are own. Wow.
