I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Huawei Technologies in Aug 2025
Interview
After sending my cv to a hiring manager, I had a technical interview with a team spread across several countries. The technical interview got ok, 1 hour long, hard but in a more questions-answers, no online coding.
Some redflags came after the first round, when I received a call telling me to connect to a link in 10 min. However, I was not home. On the next day, I talked to this HR lady. However, she arrived 15 min late, did no speak English and was using some translators. Moreover, she did not know the countries and was all the time openly hostile to me.
The last round was with a Chinese person responsible for the center. General behavioral questions.
I received a kinda verbal offer and they told me to wait one month. After 4 months they never came back to me officially. I've just got ghosted. Besides, some workers of the project came to me telling me to apply to some additional documentation, so a third-party company that belongs to Huawei could hire me instead.
The whole process was very strange.
