You come in in casual dress. Both the phone call and the interview letter said 'dress to impress' but they really want a plain shirt (of a sensible colour), jeans (not overly torn) and flat shoes, preferably converse or pumps.
After waiting around for half an hour and seeing the other interviewee, whisked off to do some work, I was already discouraged from being interviewed. There were two women in the room who interviewed me and they were happy and bubbly but quite intimidating. I think it was they way they stared at me and looked over the clothes.
Despite having no retail experience at all, they asked difficult questions I wouldn't know unless I had training with their company. They stated there would be training and that no experience was needed.
After getting the fundamental question wrong they said I wasn't suitable for the job, thanked me for coming and left me to find by way back out of the store.

I had two interviews a phone interview just make sure that I care about fashion and then an interview at the store with two department managers they just wanted to see who I was and if I would fit in with the team. Basic interview questions: what do you do for fun? What are your strengths/weaknesses?. etc.
