A current Glassdoor employee referred me but I did not hear back for several weeks. A recruiter reached out and scheduled a time for a quick call to tell me about the position and learn more about my background. This recruiter also provided next steps for what the entire interview process would look like - an interview with a current CSM Manager, a video conference call with reps in the California office, and finally an in-person presentation. She also said that the entire process can move as quickly or as slowly as you like and so my availability really determined the pace.
After my call with the recruiter, I made it to round 2 with the CSM Manager. My recruiter made sure to recommend prior to this call that I do my research because this manager would likely ask hard questions to test me and she was right. Luckily, there is a ton of information on Glassdoor's site and YouTube for employers that helped me prepare. My recruiter checked in with me after this call to see how it went and also let me know I made it to round #3! The video conference didn't work out, as we were having technical difficulties so I ended up only seeing the people interviewing me briefly and everything else was done on speaker. Everyone was incredibly nice and seemed like they liked me and were impressed with my answers. Once they could size me up, they kind of switched to silly questions which was really funny. Made me feel like I would fit right in!
A second recruiter reached out within 2 days to ask me how everything went again and let me know I made it to the final round. She provided several materials to help me prepare for the presentation portion, which was essentially a mock call to a client. They also encouraged using all your resources, including current employees which was great. For the in-person, I met with the same CSM Manager in the Chicago office, an Account Manager, and we video conferenced people in California for my presentation. It was pretty intimidating but again, everyone seemed very nice and made me feel like I knew what I was talking about (even if I didn't know everything about their products). We were headed into a holiday weekend the very next day so luckily, my original recruiter called a few hours after my final interview/presentation to offer me the position! I was very happy to accept.
Honestly, this was the most professional and transparent interview process I have ever been through. Even if I did not get this job, I would have still said this was a positive experience.
