I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Forcepoint (Austin, TX) in Jan 2015
Interview
Within a day of applying for a job I got sent an assessment test that I was asked to complete within 3 days. The assessment test was nothing out of the ordinary, but the whole email exchange were just automated responses. Once the test was done I was asked to complete ANOTHER assessment test but this time on webcam to prove that I didn't cheat on the first test. You will get a phone interview only if your second score is contingent on the score of the first assessment test. At this point, the interview and company has left a sour taste in my mouth. I didn't feel welcome at all during the process and the recruiter watching me take the test was very intimidating, not to mention extremely awkward. Not once have they shown interest in my actual skills for the job.
If Websense is mistrusting of its applicants, then why bother working there at all?
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
If Jimmy had 50 apples at noon, how many will he have 2947 days later?
After you apply, you will be given a link to take an aptitude and behavior test. It's a 50 question test that you have 15 minutes to complete with ONLY a pencil and paper. If you pass that test, then you are schedule to come in the office to take a similar text with different questions. (to ensure you didn't cheat) If you pass that test, they will try to schedule an interview with the hiring manager. If you are pass that phase then you will interview with the vice president.
The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Forcepoint
Interview
Very clean and fast hiring process, and most of the people I met with were extremely sharp. Unfortunately, quite a bit of hubris in senior management. I was unimpressed.
