Truly painful, terrible and ineffective hiring process. It's 4 steps:
1) HR presents a deck to the candidate about the company, its 3 divisions, and how it uses data to inform all decisions. That meeting could have been an email.
2) HR sends candidate to take a Mettl test. Candidate has to waste 1 hour answering questions about shapes, equations, and sentence order. The questions have nothing to do with the job or candidate’s ability to do the job.
3) Candidate gets to speak with the Hiring Manager for 30 minutes. This is the one good step, though 30 min total is nowhere near enough time for the candidate to both talk about their experience and find out more about the role/team/projects.
4) HR asks candidate to work for free to "prove" candidate can do the job that they're already doing. The ask is to put together a presentation for an event idea Fever should do including concept development, venue research, vendor list, budget with P+L, action items - and then present this to the Hiring Manager. This should be illegal.
Then they decide if they will extend and offer to you or not.
