Interview
They call you and speak with you over the phone as the prelimary screening. Then they will invite you in for a job interview in person. It’s pretty laid back and they discuss with you about your future and where you want to be in the company.

Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Typical interview questions, manage read them from a 5 page corporate interview questionnaire, manager only required to ask me 5 questions from the list.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Fastenal (Houston, TX) in Nov 2016
Interview
For every position they do two interviews by two different people. Usually a General Manager and District Manager. For me the first interview was done by the manager at the store I applied for and the second was done by a manager of a much larger branch. They do have to ask a few (maybe 3 or 4) pre-written corporate questions that are pretty basic. My take away from the experience though is that they just want to see what kind of person you are. they want to see if you're someone they can get a long with and work with every day. They don't expect you to know really anything about the business, just that you're capable of learning.
