Elsevier Account Manager interview questions

Pre-interview with HQ Recruiter in Amsterdam on Skype was very positive. Face-to-face interview with Hiring Manager in Germany not very pleasant. Interviewer gave the impression he was not too interested in hiring me as my profile did not fully fit his client requirement.

It started with a couple of in depth phone interviews with talent hiring manager the nothing for a week or more. So I followed up and found that their "top" candidate got fed up with with the endless interviews with multiple individuals and withdrew. So now I'm the favorite, was tested, and then I was brought in for 6 F2F interviews and then a role playing Q&A with an in depth PP presentation. Fact is none of them faced the same scrutiny in their hiring. Even a cantaloupe would have difficulty pleasing that many hands. So they ended up hiring within to preserve the dis-function. Interesting that upper management of my previous company always labeled them as the most difficult partner and now I know why.
