I applied online. I interviewed at Databricks in Jan 2021
Interview
I applied for the SDR role because it was entry level and did not explicitly state any minimum year of requirement in a sales role. For context, I recently graduated from college.
Something about Databricks is that on their careers page, they highlight how they are "committed to learning and development at every level." I decided to speak on this during my initial phone screening because I admired that about the company. Talking about that was probably the demise of my interview.
I think what the recruiter did next was with good intention but it lead to just a horrible experience overall. She suggested that I try to apply to companies like Google or Facebook, yes you read that right, she suggested Google or Facebook, because they have larger cohorts and hire more people... whereas Databricks is not that of a large company yet so it would not be an ideal place for a new graduate to start. Ended the call by letting me know I would not be a fit for the role.

The interview process started with a standard phone screening that went extremely well. From there I had a video call with the enterprise SDR managers that was pretty standard, except for the fact that one of the managers was eating a bowl of cereal on the call, asked zero questions, appeared to be disengaged, often turned off his mic and screen, and only answered one of my questions when it was directly asked to him specifically.

Interview
It was a straight forward, farely easy, interview and did not get really into detail which is why I am confused on how they made their decision. Recruiter was very friendly and kind.
