I applied online. I interviewed at Databricks in Jan 2025
Interview
Was contacted almost a month after I initially replied, recruiter directly scheduled a 1:1 zoom with the hiring manager (no phone screen).
Interviewer was late to the meeting, did not apologize, did not introduce themselves, and was fairly rude. They spent a lot of time asking about why I had left my previous company (which is totally valid), but kept prodding about it despite already providing thorough answers; in fact, they spent more time asking about my former company than they did talking about Databricks or my resume. It took a lot of prompting from me to ask them about their workflows and team culture, and they did a very poor job of selling the role.
Honestly it seemed like they wanted to leave the company and join my former one by the end of it.
Did not hear back at all afterwards, which is fine because I was already disinterested by the time we wrapped up our conversation.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Databricks (Londres, Inglaterra)
Interview
The interview process for this technical role was comprehensive: Recruiter screening, Hiring Manager discussion, Technical Assessment, in-depth Tech Discussion, Panel Interview with team members, and a final meeting with the Director. Each stage evaluated both technical skills and cultural fit
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Databricks (Sunnyvale, CA) in Dec 2024
Interview
I met with a marketing recruiter who was very serious and difficult to read. She explained that the interview process would involve several rounds. Everything was going well until she asked about my salary requirements. After I mentioned my salary range, which was at the top end of what they were offering, she seemed to dismiss me immediately.
