This interview was very difficult, recruiter call + First round interview + Final Round (4 interviews). I made it to the final round but did not pass. Final round had a system design and this was for new grad. But overall they were really nice to me and I enjoyed the interview experience.
Very simple. After you apply online, you have a short recruiter call before the standard DSA technicals with engineers. Varies in length and intensity. After that there's one more behavioral interview.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Databricks (Ámsterdam) in Sep 2025
Interview
Initially referred and approached by the hiring manager before any formal interviews. As a first formal round, there was a recruiter screen to figure if there was a role fit and they explained the whole hiring process. Once a fit was confirmed, I could choose how long I'd like to prepare before interview scheduling.
Eventually, I was fast-tracked, and they scheduled four interviews in a single week. Two tech rounds and two behavioral rounds. All four were 60 minutes.
Tech rounds:
* System Design: Design the architecture of a [challenge type] application
* Technical Deep Dive: Conversation about trade-offs of my past technical projects
Manager rounds
* People & Hiring: Conversation about how I've built thriving teams in the past
* Tactical & Execution: Conversation about how I've made impact in the past
