I interviewed at Collins Aerospace (Cedar Rapids, IA)
Interview
It was very relaxed and not scary, conversation about experience and what you are looking for. Only sucks that the rejection was automated. Other than that very nice people and relaxed interview

Question 1
They asked about experience the most, not much technical just experience with tools that are in the job description
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Collins Aerospace (Düsseldorf) in Jun 2025
Interview
I applied to Collins Aerospace for the Senior Lead Engineer – Materials Modelling role and completed multiple rounds of interviews. Before the first round, I had clearly communicated my expected CTC range. Post-interviews, I was asked to submit documents (salary slips, passport, Aadhaar, etc.)—a step usually indicating a near-final stage.
On July 3, I was contacted for salary discussions. However, the offer made was significantly lower than what was communicated earlier. I respectfully reaffirmed my expectations and expressed openness to find mutually agreeable terms. I received no response for nearly two weeks, and eventually, a generic system rejection email arrived without explanation or closure.
I found the process to be disappointing and lacking transparency, especially after the time and effort invested. I was not even given the opportunity to negotiate.
Candidates with specialized experience—especially from research backgrounds—should be cautious and ensure firm alignment on compensation before proceeding.
While the interview discussions were technically meaningful, I found the overall hiring process lack transparency and timely communication, especially at the final stage.
I hope this feedback helps promote more candidate-aligned and respectful hiring experiences in the future—particularly for applicants transitioning from specialized research roles into industry.
