Applied online and one day later recived call. Telephone interview with HR first and then a face to face interview, lasted for about an hour, behavior questions and match different products with different customers. Very good experience.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at CIBC (Toronto, ON) in Jun 2016
Interview
- know a recruiter who passed on my resume
- admin role with 3 months contract with no chance of extension (filling up for someone who's on maternity leave): perfect opportunity for me to get my foot in the door
- email sending to all internal clients with specific queries
- 1 HR interview and then an interview with the hiring manager
- interviews went well: she was trying to see whether I have the email sending and other admin type experience; experiences on talking to clients via email (specifically);
- I thought our conversation went great but I was shocked to see that they never contacted me back. I dont know what happened but I guess they found someone better. or it may be that I am a Masters graduate so I was over-qualified.

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at CIBC (Halifax, NS) in Aug 2016
Interview
Had a telephonic round of interview with the HR and it was actually grilling. Went on for good 48 minutes. I must say the Manager was very patient and understanding. The interview round was mainly about my resume, past experience, exp with sales over the phone, practical situations handled and resolved over the phone with customers.
