I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CIBC in Dec 2023
Interview
Two part interview all done via video.
1st part with HR rep lasting about 15 mins, with short and relatively simple questions about past experiences and self introductions. HR rep was coaching me through the interview process, giving me example questions of what may be asked during the panel interview.
2nd part was with a panel of two hiring managers and one other person that would come in and audit without showing their face or making a sound. 2nd part was more extensive, apart from the self introductions and behavioral questions they would do a role play in Mandarin, give you list of specific products to review on their website, and a script shared through video meeting. They want you to follow the script very closely.
I was not accepted, I emailed the HR rep to asked for feedback, but complete silence after the rejection email.

Interview
Following the discussion with the interviewer she mentioned that she would recommend me to the hiring manager and even scheduled a next round interview for the following day. I sent an email following up the interview date and unfortunately after several days passed without any update I noticed that the position had been closed without receiving any notification regarding the outcome of my application.
As a candidate I value transparency and open communication throughout the hiring process. While I understand that not every candidate can be offered a position, I believe it is essential to provide timely feedback to all applicants specially to those ones that were moved forward during the interview process. The lack of communication in this instance left me feeling disrespected and led me to perceive the hiring process as disorganized.

Interview
It was a straightforward process. First there was a phone interview and online test to check my reading and writing. Once completed, it was an in-person interview where I got asked some behavioral questions. They also tested my typing skills and ability to find information.
