Applied and did not hear back for 30+ days. Received a phone call from HR about arranging a first stage interview. That went well and asked basic questions like why CIBC and why this role. Thought that went well.
Had second stage interview with two MD. Was told just to prepare more about the sector. Felt the answers were quite technical (especially for an entry-level role) but answered to best of my ability.
Did not hear back for 2+ weeks even though they said it will be 1-2 weeks. I had to email for an update to be told I did not pass the stage. They offered no feedback and were very unprofessional at the end. Quite disappointed about the whole recruitment process.
phone interview. no second round of interview. all generic questions; whats my current position, computer skills, coding skills, excel. when can i start, products knowledge, education background, and expected salary
- straight forward questions from the interviewers
- basic textbook knowledge questions were asked
- a couple of behavioral questions, just explain how you work with a diverse team
- explained past projects, why it was important and how it added value
