Stage 1 interviews are generic case interview testing general problem-solving skills and ability to work alongside general consulting teams on case work similar to what you would be working on a project. The second stage now goes into the technical parts of the job, testing technical capabilities. They provide a practice tool to use (Case Coach) to assist with Prep work.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Boston Consulting Group (París) in Feb 2026
Interview
One of the interviewers joined 12 minutes late and took a phone call in the middle of the process. The other one was passive aggressive and was pressing me on elements that didn’t matter whatsoever, seemed uninterested by my profile from the get go and used a halo effect throughout sadly. Extremely poor experience.
One conversation with HR then with a Principal and then round 1 with two case interviews 1 standard interviews part fit part case and time for questions at the end.
