I applied online. I interviewed at Booking.com (Ámsterdam) in Apr 2016
Interview
Two phone calls, one of which was a short technical test to test my development skills. After that I was invited to their headquarters in Holland. The interview consisted of a Q&A and another technical test.
I applied online. I interviewed at Booking.com in Sep 2015
Interview
Three stage process: (1) Phone call from HR (2) Phone interview with remote tasks (3) In person interview - I didn't make this round. The first round was just a chat. The second round was more technical, with a live JS Fiddle task. My impression was that the job title of UX Designer was quite misleading, as they were looking for more of a front end developer/tester
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Booking.com (Ámsterdam) in Jun 2017
Interview
From the time of initial contact & sorting out the travel documents, the HR team are very helpful, friendly & responsive.
They take care of almost everything travel, lodging(only breakfast), It would've have been nice to have supper @ the hotel too.
All the Interviewers were quite friendly, I got a small office to spend my time in & the interviews were conducted in there.
The thing I appreciate the most is that proximity of the interviewers because of the small office. It may seem like a small thing but sitting around a small table made a huge difference to my experience. Another thing is that the interviewers came to see me instead of the other way around made me feel waay more comfortable and all the jitters went away & I left the interview with no regrets.
So even when I got turned down It was because I wasn't the person they were looking for & not because I botched the interview.
