I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Boeing (Mesa, AZ) in Aug 2012
Interview
Received email from an Aviation Recruiter of Chesterfield, MO that found my resume online. Interviewed, but contract fell through. Hiring process seems like it takes extremely long. Ads for this position have been posted periodically, within the past 6 months.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Boeing (Everett, WA) in Jul 2012
Interview
Standard 5 STAR system of structured questions. Did interview over the phone, with conference call and two interviewers. Follow the star method and you will do just fine. I dont recall all the specific questions but there were five structured questions. Also did a phone interview for the helicopter divison in Mesa, Az and it was a similar system.

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Boeing
Interview
The hiring process was rather interesting. My process started at a career fair at my school where Boeing was recruiting. I didn't get many technical questions from the recruiters, but I was asked various questions in regards to leadership, experience, and working with others.
After passing the first round interviews, they had a second round on campus that was geared towards being the technical interview. Still, there wasn't much coding or skill testing other than design. The focus of the second meeting was to see how you think and how you solve the problem they give you to solve.
All in all, it was a decent interview, but I was surprised at how little coding questions there were (then again, not all IT interns at Boeing end up coding a lot).
