The interviews were average, can be understandable for the amount of applicants. After you pass the interviews they tell you that they will look for a job on their pool of customers making you an "offer" indicating a salary, but the actual job never comes.

The conversation was calm, the interviewer was very friendly and very attentive and ready to answer my questions. We talked about my career and experiences. And about the benefits of working at BairesDev.

Question 1
What areas have I worked in IT and which ones would I like to work in?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at BairesDev (Porto Alegre, ) in Dec 2022
Interview
I was recruited by a Reddit user after in a discussion about dev salaries. He said that with my experience he could apply me to a 3k USD monthly position. I did an initial interview with him. He asked to do the tests in BairesDev website. These are a lot of logic, decision making, and even coding challenges I spent over 10h combined to to. He said I did well and then came up with an opportunity to get a job position in my field. There was a tech interview with another person from BairesDev. They asked language specific questions. Like what are magic methods in PHP? Cite some. How would you filter an array? Do you know any design patterns? I felt like all questions you could just consult the documentation and done. Then I got an e-mail with a salary proposal. USD 1600 monthly. Really? I knew they offered low ball, but that's almost a offensive. I asked for the 3k I was told about, but the final offer was 2k. That is more than what I make here in my country and I thought it would be at least a start to work with bigger projects and improve my English skills, so I accepted. Only to know that it still was not the final part. There would still be a final tech interview with contractor. I has been over a month and they did not contact me yet. I figure the job is gone, they probably got someone to work for the lowball offer.
