I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at AstraZeneca (Waltham, MA) in Feb 2024
Interview
Exhausting and disorganized! 5 rounds of interview that lasted a month an a half. Hiring manager, Director, Recruiter!, Panel interview, Executive director. Since the recruiter's interview came third, I only learned about the mismatch in my salary expectation and the suggested compensation. The panel interview was 45 min of virtual talk and questions. The process didn't include a one to one interviews with the team to learn more about their culture and leadership style. After all these interviews, I got a generic rejection from the company's workday email, not even the recruiter's. Overall all, disappointing, exhausting and time wasting experience.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at AstraZeneca (Gaithersburg, MD) in Dec 2023
Interview
First I had a call with the HR about salary expectations and experience. Then, moved on to the next stage with the hiring manager, there were technical questions and also behavior. The final round interview was virtual and scheduled one month apart due to holiday seasons. It consisted of a presentation (40-45 min in 1 hr slot) and several 1-1 or 1-2 interviews with scientists and directors at different levels across the team. One director specifically asked technical questions related to my research in a 'quizzy' manner. Interestingly everyone seemed to be from the same department. Finally wrapped up with the hiring manager. Waited two weeks and got a phone call from the HR about the offer package. The process was expected and experience was okay.
