I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ascension in May 2016
Interview
Very laid back. I felt very comfortable with the process. It felt more like a get to know you, then being under a microscope. I enjoyed talking to my interviewers. They then proceeded to give me a tour of the unit. I had multiple units interested in me, so they offered me an opportunity to job shadow to be able to make an informed decision on where I wanted to work. They made me feel wanted, and not like a number. Very positive experience.
Teams meeting with hiring manager and recruiter. Open ended questions and lots of back and forth open discussion. Very low maintenance, welcoming environment that allowed for thoughtful answers and time to have open dialogue
super easy, good flow, not so tough questions. They were very supportive during the interview process. Just type up and reherse your lines of why choosing the field/department/specialty and your good traits.
The nurse manager who interviewed me was friendly and made the process less stressful. I was worried about the process, but it was not bad. She asked questions about my background and experience and explained the job to me.
