I applied online. I interviewed at Apple (Irvine, CA) in Sep 2017
Interview
I was provided a group interview with about five other people. They passed around an ipad which randomly generated questions. We were to read out the question, then provide our answer. Occasionally, they asked the entire group a question away from the ipad. Interviewers were friendly and the interview was casual. They focus not on what you answer, but how you answer. The main test is in the confidence and personal skills you have when interacting with others.

Question 1
Name a time you had to solve the same issue twice, where the first time you failed.
I applied online. I interviewed at Apple (Reading, Inglaterra) in May 2017
Interview
1st stage - Group interview of around 25 people. Watch 3 videos on Apple (you can find these on their careers page). Group role-play exercise to act out a scenario of a customer coming into the store and how they would be greeted, spoken to etc.
TIP: When coming together to watch the video, try to sit next to people who you'd like to work with for the role play - they place you in groups with the people you're sat next to.
2nd stage - Interview with a Deputy Store Manager and other candidate, firing back to back competency questions.
TIP: Look at Glassdoor! Most of the generic competency questions were asked that people put in their reviews (e.g. Why did you apply to Apple?). Prepare the answers to these questions before the interview so you can hit them with a quality 10/10 answer straight away. They love seeing passion and enthusiasm - so stick to telling about personal experiences and stories.
TIP 2: Make sure you research into the history of the Apple store, what the vision was when it was created, and the many free services that are offered.
3rd stage - Solo interview with Store Manager who wanted to evaluate what role I could play within the store. More competency questions (e.g. What is teamwork to you? / How would you deal in 'x' scenario?). Lasted around 20mins.
TIP: Again, be smiley and passionate and enthusiastic. Try to avoid any negativity in your answers (that's Apple after all). Don't blab and drag on answers longer than they need to be. Make sure you have questions ready to ask at the end.

Question 1
A customer comes into the store complaining their iPhone has lost all of its data, it hasn't been backed up and it's your fault. How would you deal with this scenario?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Apple (Cerritos, CA) in Aug 2017
Interview
This is for ROUND TWO of the Genius interview process:
I showed up about 15 minutes early, checked in w/ someone in the front room that I was there for my follow up interview and was told the wait. The manager came out 25 minutes later (10 minutes late for my appointment). We left the store and sat at a table in the mall. She was very friendly, but a bit more casual than I was expecting. So casual, in fact, that after chatting for about two minutes, someone walked by our table that recognized her, she stood up, and they chatted for a few minutes, leaving me sitting there awkwardly listening to their conversation. It was standard interview questions, mostly personal, and nothing really technical. The woman that interviewed me was nice, but apparently I wasn't what they were looking for so I didn't get an offer. It was really disappointing because I was pretty pumped after getting through the first round.
