I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Accenture in Dec 2011
Interview
Many others have already mentioned the interview process so I'm not going to make you read the same story again. I do want to note that my second situational interview was only 30 minutes with 2 questions (plus sub-questions probing the details) even through most people here reported 45 minutes - 1 hour. I think it all depends on which interviewer you get.
The third interview is basically for you to learn more about Accenture and also for Accenture & yourself to figure out which areas in Technology consulting you are interested in. In my case, I already communicated to my recruiter before the interview which area I'm interested in and was interviewed by senior managers from that area. I think it may pay off if you know which area you are interested in before the inteview & let the recruiter know.
Response time for interview result has been great. Next day for the 1st round, 2-3 days for the second round and 3 weeks for the third round. Third round may be unusual because I had the interview a week before Christmas. Right before Christmas, my recruiter asked me to rank a couple alternative locations if my primary location choice isn't available. I heard back again a day or two after New Year that I would be receiving an offfer from another recruiter. I assume the delay in final decision is because of the holidays and because they had to find an alternative location. I ended up getting my first alternative choice.

Question 1
You need to know what you are signing yourself up for, I mean in term of lifestyle. I was constantly probed during the interview process whether I understand the travel & overtime requirements.
I applied through college or university. The process took 10 months. I interviewed at Accenture (San Francisco, CA) in Nov 2011
Interview
Interviewed early for the internship - got through both rounds but no offer. Was promised a final round in the fall. The first two interviews were conversational, then behavioral. No real curve balls, just "tell me about a time when you..." Don't b.s., because they go pretty in depth for each question.
The final round, 10 months later, was a bit more grueling. It was two 1.5 hour interviews, which were pretty much whatever the interviewer wanted to ask. Questions were conversational, behavioral, and case-based (even though they apparently aren't supposed to ask case based questions).
The process was still very straightforward and not too bad.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Accenture (Mississauga, ON) in Aug 2011
Interview
Started by applying online through the Accenture Career Portal. The application process was a bit more involved then the usual as there were two short answer type questions (Why do you want to be a consultant? What is a typical day for a consultant?).
I got the initial phone call within a week of applying to the position. This call was just to pick a time and date for the first phone interview.
They first interview was a typical HR phone interview, they asked about my GPA, Talked about the position, asked if I was okay with all the traveling that is involved and so on. This took 10-15min.
I heard back from them within a day, and that's when we scheduled the second interview (this was also over the phone). From what I've read online this is the make-or-break interview (PFI interview). I worked my but off to prepare for this interview. The interviewer was very nice and polite, she started off by talking about herself and then started asking questions (see below for questions). The interview lasted 45mins and the next day I heard back from them telling me that I had moved on to the final round which was going to be 3 weeks later.
For the last interview I had to go to the Accenture office, where I met with the HR rep who asked me to fill out some forms. I was then escorted to the first 1on1 interview. The interviewer was a senior manager, he asked me a few questions similar to the second round interview (if you prepared well for the second round you shouldn't have a problem with these), but for the majority of the time I was asking him questions. I had prepared 7-8 questions so the time just flew by. Next I waited in a conference room while the next interviewer had a discussion with the first interviewer. The second interview proceeded in the same manner as the previous one. Both of the 1on1 interviews were very casual and more of a discussion.
I heard back from Accenture the following week with the offer which I accepted.
