I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at AT&T (Austin, TX) in May 2011
Interview
The online assessment takes some time. It is lengthy but easy. The phone interview was short, about 12 minutes. Not very in depth, mainly dealing with how a person handles sales and customer service situations, none of which are very difficult. The interviewer did not appear to be ideally suited to conducrt the interview, as they did not appear to know basic concepts of sales and customer service. Most of the time was spent in repeating concepts or explaining them.

I applied online and within a few days was scheduled for a phone interview with one of their recruiters. The phone interview consisted of basic questions including: a time you helped solve conflict management and customer service experience.
It was a script interview that was fairly easy. Very quick on their decision making. They let you know within a couple days.
